Day 23

I felt much better this morning, when I woke up.  I had some fruit before I went to bed last night.  I wonder if that helped.  I still find that fruit, more to the point—oranges are a constant when it comes to settle my stomach.  With that being said, I am truly grateful that we keep them on hand :) .

I was a bit scattered at breakfast, snacking my way through the meal.  However, for lunch Adrienne made tacos.  The tacos were really yummy sunflower seed pate, salsa, and avocado, surrounded by a spinach bread shell.  It was very tasty.  The tacos were complimented by some rainbow salad, with revised dressing (I say revised because Adrienne made some alterations to it.).  I enjoyed the tacos a lot, but when I started munching on the rainbow salad, my stomach began to protest.  I’m not sure what was causing it to fuss.  I had a couple of oranges and began to feel better.  I am curious as to what psychological factors could be playing a role.  I will continue to be observant.

One interesting thing that I noticed a bit ago is that in addition to my focus going to hell, I am having trouble remembering things, both short and long term.  It’s weird.  For example, sometimes I’ll think back and not be able to recall what I had for breakfast, or I’ll sit at my computer to write my blog entry and I can’t remember what I wrote the day before.  I’m a little concerned about it, but I’m not sure what to do about it.  The last couple of days I have been showing signs of heavy detox, and I’m not sure why (I realize that one of the intentions of the raw food trial was to detox.).  I am beginning to wonder if maybe my detox never finished or  if there was detox round one and another, possible deeper, phase is beginning…or maybe it’s something else, and has nothing to do with my diet.  This is something else that I am going to be keeping an eye on.

And now, for today’s joke:

One day, a Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Chemical Engineer and Computer Engineer were driving down the street in the same car. All of a sudden, the car broke down.
The Mechanical Engineer said, “I think a rod broke.”
The Chemical Engineer said, “The way it sputtered at the end, I don’t think it’s getting gas.”
The Electrical Engineer said, “I think there was a spark and something is wrong with the electrical system.”
All three turned to the computer engineer and said, “What do you think?”
The Computer Engineer said, “I think we should all get out and get back in.”

Cheers,

Lindsay
