		<description>Its not really freedom from responsibility because with security you have lots of it, a job, rent/mortgage, maybe a family.  Security allows you to keep what you know and avoid the unknown which can hold pain and fear not to mention fear of the unknown.</description>

		<description>It's not freedom from pain and fear, it's freedom from responsibility, I think, that provides the drive for security.  If you do what you have always done, you know what to expect, and anything else that "happens" is something you're not responsible for, it's from an outside source.

Of course, if you dismiss the idea of an outside source, this becomes moot... leading to no need for "security".</description>
