Eating Fruit Right: The experiment

There is a right way to eat fruit? Well, I have no idea. According to this book I just read Fit for life not fat for life

To be only fair, I should give you a starting point of how I feel and what I normally eat. I don’t consider myself a health nut, however most people in my life consider me one. I was a vegetarian for many years, starting eating meat again for a year, and now I am thinking of doing an experiment (which I hope to love and stick with) of being vegan. I don’t have any major health issues. I don’t get heartburn, frequent stomach aches, throw up a lot, or get upset stomachs. I don’t have diabetes, heart issues, or any other aliments that affect my day to day life. I only drink water; I don’t like soft drinks, coffee, or juice. My typical breakfast is oatmeal, pita break with hummus, or a half quesadilla. I occasionally (once a week or so) have eggs for breakfast.

I exercise moderately 3-4 times a week, and have a fairly active lifestyle. Also like most people, I would love to lose a few pounds.

I don’t do the diet thing. I have never really tried a diet. I do experiment with different ways of eating to see how I feel on them but I never do the fad diet thing. Eating has to appeal to my common sense. For example the all protein diet, does not match my common sense, but eating vegan does. Eating fruit until noon makes a lot of sense to me.

So starting Thursday it is fruit for me.
